In our region of the Northwest, we’ve entered that season of difficult-to-decipher weather known as spring. We’re still skiing in the mountains, but the air is definitely more balmy than it was a month ago, and we’re also starting to hike and bike the trails. It’s definitely time to put away the parkas and get our layering on. Enter some great spring hoodie and pullover options from High Sierra:
High Sierra LizzE Pullover:
This women’s pullover is fairly thick and offers full coverage all the way up to your chin, making it a great stand-alone piece for those days just warm enough not to require a jacket, but chilly enough to need some protection. The LizzE pullover is stretch fleece, with lots of give, made of 245 gm polyester (with the micro fleece on the inside). The oversized collar wraps around almost like a mock scarf, and there’s a full hood. The pullover itself is oversized, the hem reaching below my waist, with a kangaroo pouch pocket in front. You get thumb holes, too. This pullover is definitely my replacement jacket for spring days with a little bit of nip in the air. The contrast-color piping is a nice touch, too.
Pick it up for $64.99 in ash gray, lagoon (blue), or razzmatazz (berry) or in women’s sizes. I found it to run large. Also available on Amazon for a bit less.
High Sierra Conness full-zip hoodie:
This men’s hoodie has a thin, spandex-polyester blend with a brushed waffle print interior. It feels good against the skin, making it a nice choice for post-workout, or for slipping on during a hiking break, before you get chilled. You also get a full zip all the way up to the chin, with nice protection for the neck and face. There’s a full hood, plus thumb holes. My son tried out the Conness during trail runs, and found it to pack more punch than it looks…it goes beyond ‘light layer’ to serious protection with a storm flap and hem cinch cord to keep out the wind. In other words, there’s some substance to this jacket. It weighs only a pound, and you get two zippered hand pockets plus a smaller zippered chest pocket.
Pick it up for $79.99 on High Sierra in black, charcoal, or navy in men’s sizes. We also found it on Amazon for less.
