For those that spend a lot of time in the car whether doing school carpools or driving for work, it can be important to stay connected. But, safety should always be a priority. The new Grip All-In-1 (6PC) Universal Mount helps travelers continue to use their phone while keeping both hands on the wheel. It reminded me of what many Uber and Lyft drivers might use.
It has a suction base that affixes to the windshield or dashboard, or it comes with a special clip to mount it on the vents. It also has an adhesive mount that can prove more sturdy. Even after removing it, there was no mark left on my dashboard. You place your smart phone securely in the holster (it is designed for universal smart phones), and it stays safely in position even when driving on bumpy roads. The grip of the device is strong so your phone does not bounce around; it stays firmly in place.
I was able to control directions or dial phone numbers easily. At first, I was worried that the glare from the screen from the sun would be a problem, but the mount has 360-degree rotation so it is easy to move around. There’s also a retractable arm so that you can move it up or down as needed, and the sides that grip your phone have soft padding to keep it from scratching your phone.
Another important thing to note is that I didn’t have to remove my Mophie charging case to use this. Since the sides of the grip are adjustable, it wraps around any phone size. It retails for $30 and is only available at Verizon stores.
