Research shows that making sunscreen part of your daily face care routine — whether on vacation or walking your dog —is crucial to protecting your skin.  But I’m the first to admit I need to get better at it.

I’ve tried what seems like countless brands, but I always seem to struggle with how the sunscreen feels or smells when I apply it to my face. Which means I don’t apply sunscreen nearly as often as I should.

Lately, I’m having what I would call a great streak with Daygleamer Mineral Sunscreen Serum SPF 34 by Well People. Non-nano zinc oxide is the main ingredient in this mineral sunscreen serum, but it also features a lineup of plant-based products including aloe leaf juice, (which includes vitamins A, C, and E) orange peel, lime, and ginger root oils.

When I apply it to my face and neck it doesn’t feel uncomfortably heavy or oily. That’s a big win for me. I’ve used it both under light makeup and without any makeup.

Daygleamer Mineral Sunscreen Serum SPF 34 is available on the Well People website. The cost is $26. Net weight 1.7 fl. oz. (50 mL) packaging means you shouldn’t have any trouble adding it into the mix with your other TSA carry-on approved toiletries.
