It’s not always possible to find a one-piece swimsuit that offers at least medium support and also looks sexy. In my searches, I’ve found solid, sporty suits, or suits that don’t look like they could hold up to simple adventures.

But lately I’ve been wearing the Carve Designs Serenity Compression One Piece swimsuit, and it’s held up to my water activities. Made with 35% recycled polyester, 23% recycled nylon, and 42% spandex, the compression swimsuit’s fabric equals the equivalent of three recycled bottles.

The suit has a high-cut leg and deep V-neck (recommended for A-C cups), which brings a bit of drama to the beach or pool. The crossover adjustable straps are comfortable whether you’re lounging or swimming, and the fabric’s UPF 50+ sun protection keeps you protected outdoors.

If you’re wondering why a compression swimsuit is beneficial, they provide excellent muscle support, helping to prevent muscle strain and injury when swimming. They also help improve body posture which can lead to improved technique and efficiency, allowing swimmers to glide through the water.

While I wouldn’t wear this swimsuit for hardcore surfing, I have worn it for light surfing, swimming, kayaking, stand-up paddling, and lounging.

The swimsuit comes in two fit types: regular and long torso. When it comes to washing, machine wash cold with like colors and tumble dry low or line dry. Don’t bleach or iron, and don’t roll/store wet. When I’m in saltwater, I make sure to rinse my swimsuit in freshwater before it dries.

The Serenity Compression One Piece lists for $124 and comes in solid colors (black, navy, dark fir) and prints (cloud multifloral, dark fir batik) on the Carve Designs site.
