Here are the details: the Solo is 91% nylon and 9% elastic weave, and it’s aimed for outdoors-enthusiasts who will put the pants through their paces on trail runs, hikes, camping trips, and the like.
We’ve found that the Solo is a great companion for all these things, but also wears well on travel days when flying, during international travel, and especially during adventure travel trips.
It really shines when you have to pack light, but need technical pants for a variety of activities.
The Solo has a sleek, almost fitted cut, for a classic Adidas look (think track pants meets hiking pants). You get an elastic waistband (super helpful for days on planes and in cars), two hand pockets, two security pockets, and UPF 50+ protection.
As noted above, the Solo is made of a light soft shell, which means that it sheds rain and snow and is quick-drying. From the description, this makes the Solo sound like a stiff rain pant; quite the opposite.
The soft shell truly is soft and lightweight to the touch. You won’t feel like the Solo is stiff at all; instead, you’ll feel a give with every step.
