Part of the fun of frequent travel is treating yourself to a few cocktails or enjoying an evening with colleagues after a big meeting. But, that can also lead to some headaches, literal ones, the next day.

That’s why I was eager to try NOHO to see if it could help undo the sour effects of a hangover. There are lots of unique products on the market that claim to do away with hangovers, but NOHO Drink says that it is effective if you follow the right steps.

The instructions say that you must drink the small concoctions (similar to a tiny shot) before the first alcoholic drink.  It comes loaded with vitamins and minerals that can help to offset the effects of too much alcohol.

I have heard that drinking Pedialyte, intentionally designed for young children, is a great alternative after a binder night. It follows the same principles by loading you up on minerals and electrolytes.

Each of the small NOHO shots are meant to offset the effects of five drinks. Heavy imbibers should take another shot if they plan to drink more.

It seems that preparing your body for the onslaught of alcohol (and resulting depletion of vitamins) by drinking NOHO beforehand is a better plan.

Ideally, you should be drinking water with each drink, which I normally do. I have a high tolerance, but I must say that I felt no headache the next morning after beginning my evening with a NOHO shot.

Instead of taking ibuprofen as usual, I simply went to bed after an hour or so of a pause from my last drink. To say I was surprised is an understatement because I was not convinced it would work.

Sure, I was tired, and my eyes a bit bloodshot. But, I liked the fact that this small bottle could fit in your pocket (or travel-size toiletry kit) and is easy to take before a few drinks.

It tasted slightly sweet with no aftertaste. Drinking heavily is something to avoid in the first place, but if you do find yourself tippling away, this might be a good thing to have in your medicine cabinet.
