These handmade, Portuguese leather dress shoes are beautiful in a simple and clean sort of way. They show a conservative, yet elegant, style as a typical Oxford shoe; it is part of Wolverine’s 1883 Collection showcasing a classic and traditional design.
The Wolverine Henrik Oxford dress shoes have exceptional quality. This is not the first pair of Wolverine shoes that I have, and I make these shoes my standard travel shoe because they are comfortable with sturdy soles that are great for constant walking and long flights.
This lace-up shoe is comfortable at the toes and the sole and is not loose even after breaking it in over time. The sole retained its shape and spring, which is nice since some shoes often wear down at the heel and can look strange.
After spraying a leather protection spray on the shoe’s surface, I never had any problems with the shoe being exposed to rain or moisture. The shoe’s coloring remained the same.
These brown shoes work great for professional settings, but also look good with a pair of jeans, too. Wolverine has a noticeably rugged line of shoes, but their smaller line of professional footwear has always impressed me. The Henrik Oxford comes in various colors and textures including a navy blue suede coating that looks good against the light-hued sole.
Wolverine’s shoes are not cheap, but their quality and craftmanship are worth the price. The Wolverine Henrik Oxford shoes are available for $175 on the Wolverine website or on Amazon.
