It’s never been easier to take your favorite music on the go. From camping trips to beach days to yardwork, portable Bluetooth speakers come in all shapes and styles these days. I spent many days this summer listening to my favorite tunes on the Fender x Teufel ROCKSTER GO 2.
A major perk is that it’s a snap to use; it paired easily with a number of Bluetooth-enabled devices in my home. I used the speaker throughout my house — in the kitchen, bedroom, and patio — but it also spent a good chunk of time at the beach. (The Fender x Teufel ROCKSTER GO 2 is IP67 Waterproof.) Whether inside, or out, or even competing with pounding surf, I was happy with the speaker’s sound quality and portability.
Official dimensions are 2.36”D x 8.27”W x 4.33”H. Weighing just under 2.5 pounds it’s not big, but it’s not tiny either. Intuitive buttons across the top control a majority of the handheld speaker’s functions. A strap on the back makes it easy to hold and 1/4 inch threading on the bottom is compatible with GoPro mounts.
A USB-C port makes charging convenient (cable included), although I feel as though I hardly had to charge the speaker. I didn’t tally the hours, but per the manufacturer, the Fender x Teufel ROCKSTER GO 2 operates for 15 hours at medium volume or up to 28 hours in Eco Mode at medium volume. A battery indicator light is located on the back of the speaker near the power button.
