Pack Danner Women’s Utility Shorts for Your Next Hiking Trip
There’s nothing like hitting the trail in the most comfortable gear you have when that same gear is all about function. When I have shorts that perform well and are also incredibly comfortable, they’re bound to find a place in my suitcase every time.
Danner Women’s Utility Shorts have a classic roomy cut and big pockets inspired by vintage climbing shorts and fishing apparel. They’re made with hard-wearing 100% Cordura nylon ripstop, which is tough enough for days on the trail. Its special construction prevents holes or tears from spreading, in case you encounter sharp rocks or branches. The ultralight fabric will also keep you cool regardless of the temperature.
The shorts have pleated gussets, multiple pockets, and an adjustable webbing belt with tension adjust paired with the elastic waistband to provide a personalized fit. The snap closure rear pockets are among my favorite elements of these shorts. Far from the standard back patch pockets, these are designed to provide an abundance of space to stow your essentials: phone, snacks, wallet, keys, packed-out trash, even a water bottle. Snap closures are best for secure, quick and easy fastening and unfastening.
I’ve washed these shorts both in a hotel sink and in a machine. Just don’t bleach or dry clean them.
The shorts aren’t only for hiking. Wear them whenever you want comfort and performance on your outdoors adventures.
Women’s Utility Shorts come in olivine, stargazer (blue), and wren (brown) and list for $90 on the Danner site .
