Performance-wear has its place. I love workout clothing for hiking, biking, yoga, and general fitness, but I often find that I don’t love the snug fit of workout T-shirts. Collective is the Craft brand’s newest training wear line, designed to balance performance, comfort, and style. The line combines a minimalist aesthetic with everyday functionality, something we need in multi-functional travel clothing.
The tee is made with 90 percent recycled polyester and 10 percent elastane, resulting in a soft blend of comfort and flexibility for your adventures, as well as the ability to wick away moisture to keep you dry. It has a rounded bottom, adding a little extra coverage — something many people appreciate. It also has raglan sleeves, which are optimal for activities when you need unrestricted movement, like high-intensity workouts.
I love the shirt because it’s sporty enough to wear for my adventures, but I can also integrate it into a non-sporty travel wardrobe when I need an extra T-shirt. Single-use clothing items in my suitcase aren’t exactly a waste, but they can drag down my attempts to ensure that every piece can be used for multiple occasions.
Craft gives tips about fit for this shirt; “As a Swedish brand, our products can fit long and lean. If your normal fit is typically between sizes, we suggest sizing up.” I chose my regular size, and it fits well. I like it so much that I’m already looking to get a second shirt.
