Phew, that was a mouthful! But worth the effort, because this is a really unique shoe.

The Parley Boat Shoe is extremely lightweight and breathable, and gets the ‘boat’ part of its name from its ability to drain water. This feature make the Parley an excellent shoe for summer adventure, particularly on boats and around water, but in our testing this spring, it’s proven to be more than that.
Our tester has worn the Parley on light hikes, through mud and puddles, through airports, and on road trips. He loved the Parley’s light weight and comfort, and its versatility during travel days.
Because of the draining capability, the Parley is not waterproof, obviously, so it’s not the shoe for extreme hikes or cold weather, but during warm weather months or when traveling to warm weather destinations, it’s ideal.
While the Parley does get wet, its sock construction makes it comfortable when wet or dry (and eliminates much of the cause of blisters, too). While the outsole drains the water and grips wet surfaces, it’s the Climacool material we love: wet or dry, the Parley keeps your feet cool.
The knitted upper fabric of the shoe is made with Parley Ocean Plastic, which is important to explain.
Adidas and Parley for the Oceans have teamed up together to produce a small number of shoes that utilize material from ocean waste. So yes, the plastic in your Parley Boat Shoes are from the awful amount of plastic in our oceans.
