National parks have been called “America’s best idea,” and every year, the most well-known of U.S. National Parks see record visitation numbers. While it’s indeed true that we should care for our parks and consider lesser-visited sites as a way to spread our love around, keeping those parks on our minds is often what gets us through the work week so we can venture out during our time off.
Everyone has a favorite national park. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, a stone’s throw from Yosemite, my personal favorite. I’ve recently been testing out the Swiftwick Vision Six Impression National Park Socks, which feature one of 17 different national parks in the U.S. and Canada. Of course, I chose Yosemite.
The socks have a 6-inch crew cuff that have 360-degree designs printed at low temperatures to keep high-performance fibers (75% nylon, 21% polyester, 4% spandex) strong. Those same breathable fibers keep your feet dry, cool, and blister-free whether you’re adventuring in a national park or just walking a few blocks away from home.
The socks have a seamless toe box to eliminate friction around your toes, a y-shaped heel that creates a snug fit that moves with your foot without slipping or bunching up, and arch-band support that keeps the socks in place. A thin channeled upper provides ventilation and increased breathability—adding to the efforts of keeping your feet cool. The socks have a medium cushion that’s enough for all-day comfort, so hit that trail in your favorite national park and try to find something new about it to love.
The Vision Six Impression National Park socks come in the following park designs: Acadia, Arches, Banff, Bryce Canyon, Death Valley, Denali, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Great Smoky Mountains, Jasper, Joshua Tree, Mt. Rainier, Olympic, Rocky Mountains, Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Zion. They list for $19.99 on the Swiftwick site.
