True minimalists prefer multi-functional clothing items when it comes to packing for travel. Pieces that can be worn different ways, or can function both as daytime and evening wear, are immediately valuable because you can limit the suitcase space needed for your wardrobe.

The Toad & Co. Jetlite Pant is one of my favorites and happens to meet this requirement.
Made from a stretchy, lightweight weave of 95 percent polyester and 5 percent spandex, these pants are incredibly comfortable for travel, as well as everyday life.
The cut is sleek and contemporary, allowing them to work well for city touring, evening events, business conferences, and out to meals.
But the comfort factor also means that you can wear them on the airplane and not look like a schlub.
The pants have a DWR (durable water repellent) finish, drop-in hand pockets and a zip stash pocket. The fabric is developed by a bluesign partner—a system that eliminates harmful substances from the beginning of the manufacturing process and sets and controls standards for an environmentally friendly and safe production.
It also has a sun protection rating of 40+, so you can wear the pants all day and not worry too heavily about sun exposure through the material.
Washing these pants is simple. Toad & Co. calls for them to be washed in cold water in the washing machine, tumble-dried on low, and not ironed.
I’ve done that with mine, but have also hand-washed them in the sink and hung over the shower rod to dry.
