I’m a practical person, especially when it comes to travel. If I have to choose between comfort and fashion, comfort wins every time. So, I get especially excited when I find travel clothes, like Athleta’s Coaster Luxe Recover Sweatshirt, that offer the best of both worlds.
Ideal for lounging or flying, the Coaster Luxe Recover Sweatshirt is made with Athleta’s soft and breathable Nirvana fabric. (78% Tencel Lyocell, 19% Polyester, 3% Lycra) It has a crew neckline and a simple fit that’s not too tight and not too loose. Dress it up with a pair of jeans when you arrive in town, or throw it on with a pair of leggings. Either works. Part of the brand’s CYA, or Cover Your Assets offerings, the sweatshirt features a longer back hem that provides more coverage.
It’s a versatile piece to have in your closet; I’ve found recently it’s one of the first things I grab when dressing for a plane flight. Layer it over a tee shirt and I can easily adjust if I’m running warm. If the plane is cold, the Coaster Luxe Recover Sweatshirt is light enough to handle an extra layer.
The sweatshirt is machine washable, but care instructions recommend you hang it to dry. I have the Magnolia White color sweatshirt and I will admit I was worried about staining, but so far it’s washed well.
Athleta’s Coaster Luxe Recover Sweatshirts are available in 10 colors ranging from black and navy, to shale and fern green. The cost is $79 on Athleta’s website, but different colors seem to go on sale from time to time.
