ShiftCam 6-in-1 Travel Set with Front Facing Lens

If you’re like me, you take selfies and photos with your mobile phone and assume they are as good as can be. Honestly, the ShiftCam 6-in-1 Travel Set with Front Facing Lens threw me for a loop because I was unaware of all the possibilities that are available to you when using your smartphone to take a photo.

What it does

Interchangeable lenses allow people to shift angles and the style of photo within seconds. This device allows you to have multiple lenses on your phone without having to remove one cover and replace it with another.

Thanks to the magnetic lens cap, it easily stayed in place including on my bulky Mophie protective case. You can also use the mount so that you can take a photo remotely without having to hold the phone. The mount keeps it sturdily in place without worrying about the shake of your hand.

I found it rather easy to align the various lenses with my iPhone camera lens, even when the ShiftCam device was attached to my phone case. The resulting photos were quite impressive in caliber, quality, and dimension.

I also liked that this attachment is not too large. I could leave it secured to my phone even when I put my device in my pocket or bag, it does not take up too much space. It has an anti-slip material that keeps it from easily moving around, and its protective casing is designed to be shock-absorbing in case you drop the phone while it is attached.

What’s included

It is clear that the folks that designed this clever device are photographers themselves. They have improved upon the first iteration of this phone accessory, which is small enough to fit into your pocket or purse. A magnetic lens cap helps to protect against scrapes and dust.

With six lenses, the device offers different capabilities including two 2X telephoto, 20X macro, 10X macro, 120-degree wide angle, and 180-degree fisheye views. For those into big group selfies, there is also a wide angle lens that captures panoramic shots.

The ShiftCam 6-in-1 Travel Set with Front Facing Lens, which is really a six-in-one camera lens accessory, retails for $70 on the ShiftCam website and works well with most modern-day iPhones including the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and the iPhone X.
