Solo New York has created a line of beautiful bags that are good for the environment and easy on the wallet. Re:store bags are made from recycled plastic bottles and the whole line comes in a unisexy gray that will please even the pickiest of shoppers in your house. We are testing out the Re:store Tote, which can fit laptops and tablets in its fully padded compartment.
First Impressions
On first glance, this bag is a great shape and size. The fabric feels durable and well made. Zipper pulls are large enough that you could pull on them with gloves in the colder months and access your goods without fumbling. The smaller pocket in front allows easy access storage to wallets, metro card, calculators and snacks. Don’t tell me you don’t carry around a snack…
The main compartment is fully accessed through a large zipper that spans the entirety of the Re:store Tote. Black camo fabric lines the inside of the Re:store Tote. The camo print is not flashy but feels as durable as the exterior. The padded sleeve for your electronics is generous and can fit any device from 11-15.5″. There is one mesh pocket in addition to two pen holders, a small lanyard for keys or Airpod cases and another pocket that is perfect for a small wallet or loose change for the parking meters. 
A great surprise was the back pocket. With two zippers, one at the top and one at the bottom, you could use this space for additional storage when in a densely populated area OR! Unzip both zippers and you can slide the Re:store onto the handle of you suitcase and be hands free as you make your way through the airports and subway systems. Protect your phone with our favorite wipeable case as well.
Weather Can be Your Friend with the Re:store Tote
Re:store is perfect for the urban environment as the exterior fabric is made from recycled PET bottles. This give the Re:Store a natural waterproofing, preparing it for all weather systems. The bag as a whole is not watertight so don’t go submerging your gear in a puddle to test it out. The water resistance of the outside will also lead to less stains so your Re:store looks as good as the day you got it. Think of all the places your bag is set down while you are traveling. The recycled PET polyester yarn only needs a quick wipe down and your Re:store is germ free again.

The Re:store Tote is large enough at 15″H by 14″ wide to carry your gym clothes and water bottle or pack it full for a quick overnight bag. That back pocket w I covered earlier? That is a great go-to spot for your dirty clothes or a flat iron. This bag really can go everywhere with you!
