Whether I’m biking at home or biking while traveling, I always bring along good performance eyewear. My eyes are pretty light-sensitive, so I’m a constant sunglass-wearer (though not at night), and making sure my sunglasses have all the right protection while not fogging is important.

Enter the Koo Eyewear Spectro Sunglasses, a solid pair for cyclists. They’re my current favorite pair of biking glasses, whether the day is cloudy or sunny.

The glasses have a Zeiss polycarbonate lens with anti-reflective technology, which has great clarity for seeing the small and large obstacles on your route. The lens has a single-frame design, with panoramic vision across to your peripheral-vision area. A variety of lens colors gives you the flexibility to choose the best for your vision preferences.

Four ventilation ports minimize fogging possibilities. In my hours of testing the sunglasses in different weather conditions, they didn’t fog once. An adjustable folding nosepiece accommodates your nose, whether you wear the glasses high up or low. Anti-slip Megol elastomer temple inserts are comfortable and along with the nosepiece, provides excellent added grip.

While I loved the performance results of my Spectros, I did sometimes bring along another pair of sunglasses if I was biking to meet someone and hang out. That doesn’t mean I’m embarrassed to be wearing great protection in a sports setting, however. I just feel more comfortable switching out of some sports-related gear when I’m going out to lunch or dinner.

The Spectro Sunglasses come in one size, and a variety of frame/lens color combinations are available: black/bronze, black/red, black/turquoise, black matte/green, black/photochromic (pictured), green matte/orange, iridescent, orange fluo with black, red glass/smoke, teal blue glass/turquoise, violet glass/gold, white/green, and white/silver. Prices range from $190 to $210 on the Koo Eyewear site.
