Nobody likes jet lag, whether it’s on vacation or once you’ve returned home. It keeps you from being able to fully enjoy your time when awake, and often keeps you from getting quality sleep.

I recently returned from a trip to New Zealand, which is 20 hours ahead of Pacific time. Aside from my assignment work, this was the perfect opportunity to test out Flykitt, advertised as an all-in-one solution to eliminate jet lag and travel fatigue.

There are two types of Flykitt—international and domestic. The international version is ideal for travel anywhere in the world, and the domestic version works great for short trips (under 6 hours of total flight time and 3 or fewer time zones). There are also versions for kids and folks who follow a vegan diet.

Flykitt consists of supplements for round-trip travel that address a variety of needs: organic pomegranate polyphenols and Vitamin C to block inflammation, magnesium glycinate and melatonin to help align your circadian system and calm your gut, methylated B vitamins to increase alertness, and Omega-3 fatty acids to support lower inflammation and energy. Also included in the kit are blue-light-filtering glasses (so you can block disruptive light) and some instant coffee.

To get a personal plan designed for your trip, download the Flykitt App (available in iOS and Android) and enter your itinerary. From there, you’ll get a specific schedule focused on how to use your kit during your trip.

After using Flykitt for the first time on my New Zealand round trip, I’ll be using it for future trips. It was easy to follow my personal plan and take the supplements at the right time, as well as use the glasses when necessary.  While I didn’t use the instant coffee, I did drink regular coffee because there’s no way I’m going to miss an opportunity to drink flat whites in New Zealand.

The first night after arriving in the destination (New Zealand on the outbound and California on the return), I began to get sleepy a couple hours before I’d planned to go to bed, but nothing like the jet lag I usually experience. Now that I’ve been home for 48 hours, I have zero symptoms of jet lag at all. My next flight is a domestic one with a 2-hour time difference, and I’m planning to use Flykitt domestic.
