The Maya frames are the newest offering from Costa and hands down, they are my favorite frames I have ever reviewed from Costa!
The Maya frames is sassy with a hint of the iconic 1950’s cat-eye that is best for a smaller face. I opted for the Shiny Coral Tortoise frame with the gray polycarbonate lens for everyday wear. The gray frame literally makes the world a more beautiful place. I feel as if I am living in my favorite instagram filter- I never want to take them off.
Thankfully, the Maya is so lightweight that I can wear them all day long without the frames feeling heavy or slipping off my nose. This past Mother’s Day, I put them to the test with a brunch at our local zoo, chasing down my children, looking at animals, eating cotton candy and even taking a ride on the merry-go-round. With all the activity and peering into enclosures, the Maya frames from Costa stayed put and even allowed me to see past the glare on the glass of the enclosures! My husband had to remind me to remove them for our family picture!
The Maya comes with the lifetime warranty from Costa and is the same sturdy, impact and scratch-resistant frames we have come to expect from Costa.
Like many of the frames from Costa, the Maya can be personalized with prescription lenses! The Maya comes in two color options for the frame and three lens options. My husband prefers the Green Lightweight Glass in his Costas. They are a great choice but I don’t think I can never not have the 580P gray polycarbonate lens from now on!
Maya retails for $179-259 on the Costa website. If you opt for the Rx lenses, the frames start at $149 and then the cost of the Rx lens varies depending on your needs. I recommend these for the favorite lady in your life! They are great for driving, exploring and playing. I have insider information that the Maya pairs best with mimosas and lazy Sunday mornings.
