Hitting the market and the trails this year is a new addition from LOWA. They are introducing the new women’s specific Lynnox GTX Lo and it is sure to become your favorite trail shoe. The Lynnox GTX Lo is built on a new chassis and is constructed with a lower ramp angle for a more responsive shoe while you are out exploring our beautiful world. Plus! It is 100% Vegan!
What I Love
The aesthetics of the Lynnox GTX Lo are great! I love the muted colors and the ombre effect as you move from the toe to the heel. The Lynnox GTX Lo is lightweight for a trail shoe making it easy to wear all day long and easy to throw into your pack. It only 1.32 pounds, I know they will quickly become your to-go shoe.
The tread on the sole is perfect for the sandy and slick trails we have in Idaho. LOWA has spaced out the lugs allowing the Lynnox GTX Lo to maintain its traction on loose terrain.
The Lynnox GTX Lo features a new GORE Infivisble Fit Technology that bonds the GORE-TEX membrane directly to the upper shoe. The fabric is also waterproof, windproof and, believe it or not, breathable. The insole of the Lynnox GTX Lo is LOWA’s ATC Climate Control Footbed. I often trail run in McCall, Idaho in the summers and there are few trails out that way that don’t have a stream to cross so these Lynnox GTX Lo are a great shoe for that environment.
What I Would Change
The lacing system. I am a huge fan of the BOA or even Sensifit lacing systems for my trail shoes. I never have to worry about the laces becoming untied or loosening up on me. While the laces on the Lynnox GTX Lo have yet to truly slip, I would love to see that option in the future.
The toe box is a little narrow. If you have wide feet, this would not be a good fit for you.
LOWA’s Lynnox GTX Lo are available on their website. I suggest sizing down a half size to get the best fit. They retail for $195.00 and can be purchased in three different colors. LOWA are a favorite at Practical Travel Gear! Check out our other reviews of their shoes here.
