We all know that it’s good to protect your eyes. Sometimes, your adventurous pursuits require more than just your standard sunglasses. Whether you’re biking, running, or out in the snow (and don’t need goggles), it’s good to have goggle-like coverage but with the airflow and lightweight feel of sunglasses.

If you have a smaller face, sport sunglasses with large frames can make you feel a little overwhelmed. That’s why the medium-frame Smith Optics Bobcat Sunglasses are what I’ve been using lately.

The frame is made from Evolve bio-based material, and are durable and lightweight. Strategic venting increases airflow, keeping the fogging down and maintaining a lens with maximum clarity. AutoLock hinges hold the frames open for easy on-and-off with one hand.

The slight wraparound fit helps cover your peripheral view, and Megol temples and two-position adjustable Megol nose pads provide non-slip grip to keep those sunglasses on your face.

The ChromaPop lenses enhance contrast and natural colors, causing the details to pop. The lens is interchangeable, and a bonus clear lens is included for low-light needs—like Alaska’s interior in mid-December. The sunglasses come in a performance hard case with a microfiber pouch.

The Bobcat Sunglasses are sold on the Smith Optics site and come in a variety of frame and lens combinations: black frame and ChromaPop Glacier photochromic copper blue mirror lens (pictured, $255), black frame and ChromaPop red mirror lens ($225), matte Pacific Sedona frame and ChromaPop bronze mirror lens ($225), matte black marble frame and ChromaPop violet mirror lens ($225), B4BC chalk rose frame and ChromaPop rose gold mirror lens ($225), matte black frame and ChromaPop photochromic clear to gray lens ($245), matte amethyst frame and ChromaPop opal mirror lens ($225), matte black frame and  ChromaPop black lens ($215), white frame and ChromaPop black lens ($215), Artist Series Lisa Congdon frame and ChromaPop rose gold mirror lens ($225).
