The newest iPhone, with its noted flaws and complaints, deserves the newest and most protective case available. I am a huge fan of Catalyst’s waterproof cases, which provide protection from both the elements and the all too possible fall.
- Superior Drop Proof Technology.
- Impact Truss Cushioning.
- Raised Bezel.
- Slim Design.
What makes this case one of Catalyst’s most popular is its promise for protection from a fall of almost ten feet. Unless you’re in a hot-air balloon, there are few instances where this case will not keep your phone safe.
What feels like a simple rubber exterior is actually quite a sophisticated and insular design (propietary to Catalyst) that protects your phone with supreme care. I really like the extra protection that the rubber’s resistance offers when pulling it from your back pocket.
That’s where I most often keep my phone, and this case keeps it from easily slipping out. You can tell if it is on the edge of your pocket!
While iPhone designers placed buttons in weird places for the latest model, Catalyst designers made it as easy as possible to access all the same needed buttons without being too confusing. Perhaps Apple could learn a few lessons from Catalyst!
The case itself is rather slim and hardly a noticeable increase to the overall size of the phone itself. I get a lot of comments on how much bigger my phone looks when I have my Mophie case attached!

The case requires minimal adjustment to add or remove, and it comes in both black or clear colors. I really appreciated how easy it is to still use the standard function buttons on my phone for volume or overall power, which is not always the case when using a new case for your phone.
It retails for almost $90 on the Catalyst website and makes the perfect Christmas present for those proud of their newest, and most expensive, iPhone.
