Brunton Charger

The Brunton Resync 3000 is a pocket-sized charger that is great for those on the go and often away from the convenience of a power outlet. It charges devices via a USB port plus has a small solar Panel that can be used for recharging if the charge is already drained. That can really come in handy for a quick phone call.

This charger is perfect for business travelers and outdoorsmen alike since both types of travelers may find similarities in their mutual need for a charge when in unusual places. There have been times when I am stuck in a taxi cab in traffic, and this charger has helped me to stay productive while waiting to get to the airport or an office. Also, it is nice to know that the device is shock-proof so no worries if you drop it (or a careless baggage handler or bellman loses your carry-on bag to gravity).

Another great feature is that the charger is waterproof meaning if it gets wet in the rain or you spill something on it, the power stays on. This means you can use it at the beach, while camping, by the pool, in the rain, or even in the bathroom!

I carry this charger to power up devices like a smart phone or iPad, but it is not strong enough (like most mobile chargers) to juice up a laptop. The black and yellow color may seem a bit harsh, but it has saved me a couple of times from leaving it behind in a hotel room or airport lounge since it is quite noticeable when doing a last-minute scan for your belongings.

The charger is not too heavy, which is a common irritation with some devices, and while it gets warm when charging, that is standard. It retails for $50 on the Brunton website or on Amazon.
