Celebrate the transition from summer to autumn by reevaluating your fall travel wardrobe. I recently cleaned out my closet, a task I’ve grown to enjoy because it allows me to acknowledge the items that work for me and let go of those that don’t. And depending on where I’m traveling, a summer wardrobe doesn’t always cut it.

These moments also allow me to acquire a piece or two that fill necessary holes, like finding an oversized non-performance jacket that works well in casual and dressier moments on my travels. Recently, I’ve been testing out the Sézane Will Jacket for that exact purpose.

Th oversized, lined jacket is like a non-conformist blazer that works equally well with tailored pants, skirts, and jeans. The classic collar and button closure add to the jacket’s beautiful tailoring, and large side pockets are roomy enough to hold a large phone or notebook without trouble.

The jacket’s main fabric depends on which style you choose. My basic black Will Jacket is 54% polyester (of which 94% is recycled), 44% wool, and 2% elastane, but the Edinburgh check print Will Jacket is 100% virgin wool. Now that I think about it, I’d really like to have both of them.

The variety of options for the Will Jacket is both refreshing and frustrating (but in a good way), because the wealth of options makes it easy to find a favorite, but also a second and third favorite. Because of the variety of fabric choices, be sure to check the cleaning instructions for the one (or several) you choose, because they vary as well.

The Will Jacket comes in indigo, indigo with wool collar, navy with wool collar, washed black, mottled ecru, Ivan burgundy tartan, camel suede, black, jacquard October roses, Edinburgh check print, pink with wool collar, kingdom ecru, denim blue, light blue with embroidered ecru flowers, snow blue, embroidered white, denim stripes, navy blue, and khaki. Prices on the Sézane site are $145 to $305, depending on the fabric.
