This ingenious device from Waterfield San Francisco combines the benefit of a wallet’s components with the ease of having an iPhone in an alternate pocket. Perfect for those prone to losing things, this device makes a great gift for frequent travelers who are looking to lessen their wallet-size weight.
I was delighted to try this device as I have been known to lose my iPhone once (or thrice), and the pairing of my iPhone with my wallet insured that I never left my eyes from it.
The leather casing of this pouch comes in a variety of colors, and the zipper wraps around the device making it easy to access in a hurry. What I found quite surprising was that the plastic covering of the iPhone screen on this case was easily penetrated for regular use.
I was able to swipe the screen through the cover to check my email, check my Facebook, and type new emails (although it is a bit of a pain when typing long emails). Using the phone while it is inside the wallet is also an option, and the sound quality was great when talking into it while it was zipped into the wallet. It may not be practical for longer calls, but it worked just fine for quick chats.
The price point of this case is incredibly low at around $40. It suits iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 models.
The extreme durability of this wallet pouch makes it ideal for those who spend time around water or those who drag it through harrowing business conditions (as I did on a typical city business day that involved rainwater, splashing city bus waste, and long city walks).
Those looking for an iPhone case will find the leather padding to be an excellent protective combination for both iPhone case and wallet. This soft device is available at the SFBags website.

Yes, this is a great product from a great company. I have had mine for almost a year and it is better now than the day I got it!
The patina on the leather just makes it look awesome.
