I think all that is reflected in the price of the songs. As for the sound quality, compressed iTunes files sound pretty bad too, but the average listener doesn’t seem to care. It’s “good enough tech.”

The SanDisk Sansa SlotRadio suffers from so-so sound quality, and the music it comes with is locked to the cards. Listeners are subject to the whims of the Billboard music editors.

Great radio. FM only. Drives small computer speakers. change from country to R+B to rock, etc. it remembers the song you started from. Only limitation is no rewind. Skip forward. Radio Shack had $99.00 sale. Slot player, sample card with 1,000 songs, plus extra choice of card with 1,000 songs. Shop around. It took 5 Radio Shacks to get deal like the ad said.

What you didn’t mention though is that all the songs are “clean” versions. Since many of the rappers have a limited vocabulary and imagination, every third or fourth word is blanked out. That gets old fast on the hip-hop playlists.
