Reisenthel CityShopper Bag for Fashionable Travelers

By Tim L.

We like to do everything we can to keep people from soiling the planet with more single-use plastic shopping bags. So we’ve reviewed plenty of shopping and tote bags that are easy to carry with you in your travels, models from Ellington Handbags, ChicoBag, Flip & Tumble, RuMe, OLovesM, and more. If you’re looking for something that is functional but more fashionable though, you might like this CityShopper from Reisenthel.

True to its name, this would not look out of place on the streets of Manhattan or Paris, so if you’re style is more jet-setter than backpacker, this will give you the right look while still stuffing easily into your suitcase. The CityShopper bag won’t set you back too much either. My wife received this as a gift from a client at her job (monogrammed even!), but I found it at Amazon for 25 bucks. That’s a deal.

This is a well-made bag with good buckles that allow you to remove the straps if needed when packing. She hasn’t even bothered though as it fits easily in the outside pocket of the Eagle Creek wheelie Hovercraft suitcase she is usually using. She really likes the fact it has a flat bottom and will sit upright when filled with vegetables or baguettes. There’s a zip pocket inside and a pocket for your cell phone.

The Reisenthel CityShopper is a handy bag to have on a beach vacation as well. It’s a good size for strolling down to the water with towels and sunscreen, or for carrying reading material, a camera, and a hat to the pool at a resort. It comes in the three patterns pictured at the top.
