Thanks for that review. I have been looking at different camera reviews, as mine is old and wearing out. A view finder at the top sounds good. I will have to watch for the newer model.

Great article, Tim! Very insightful. My dad has a camera just like this one. I’ve never really gotten around to trying it out myself. But now, I’m really interested to see its click-to-capture speed myself.

I don’t appreciate that thing about the lens cap always popping off. Aside from the fact that I’ve always hated losing lens caps, I hate getting my lenses dirty too. What I hate even more is cleaning lenses. ;)

DSLRs are definitely worth the price and the effort of learning when photography has started to play a more active role in your life. For me, years ago, the birth of my eldest son triggered me to make such an investment. And then, I realized how much I’m interested in photography and how much I want to learn and hone my skills.
