Traveling to Europe this summer? Here’s a bit of advice: Don’t go out at night wearing clunky shoes with all the style of a Chevy SUV. Logical or not, form definitely trumps function in the cities of Western Europe. This doesn’t mean you need dress shoes just to go clubbing, but you’ll be less likely to be pegged as a slob if you’re bring something like these Cushe Groove Speed shoes along.
We review lots of double-duty travel footwear on this blog, but it’s hard to get by wearing the same thing at night that you do tromping around the city sightseeing all day. Consider these Groove Speed shoes from Cushe Footwear to be your “fashion trainers” you can wear to a club or party without looking like a rube. They’re stylish but not outlandish, good looking but also very comfortable. And while they aren’t quite as packable as the little black flats that women can get away with, they do compress quite a bit to get easily into your bag. (And yes, they do come in versions for women as well.)
There are a zillion shoe brands out there in the $60 to $100 price range that all look relatively similar, but the Cushe ones have a unique sense of style. While it’s not always obvious, the icon on the side is a casually kicked-back person and that’s how I feel wearing these. The uppers are suede trim over a kind of ventilated nylon mesh that breathes really well. They’re very comfortable on the feet and adjust well to varying foot shapes, but there’s ample support for walking around in them for hours.
There’s a concealed toe reinforcement that will keep the stubbing at bay and a heel shock pad protects the back. This pair of shoes feels better-designed and crafted with more fashion sense than most urban casual shoes that are actually comfortable to wear.
The Cushe Groove shoes come in a variety of eye-catching colors, but I like the brown ones best for travel. The ones shown here are classified as “nylon,” but there are also suede and leather versions that are around the same price ($85-$90). Whether you are traveling for months or just taking a quick trip to meet up with friends in Barcelona, these are good secondary shoes to slip into for Round 2 after a day of hiking or pounding the sidewalks.

So who is on the ball in customer relations for Cushe shoes. These shoes will go to the dump, they looked really good and wear very comfortably but the stitching and souls leave much to be desired. Would appreciate some feed back, soon.
