Athleta Bettona Boyfriend Pant

By Jill

Athleta Bettona Boyfriend PantOne of the challenges of air travel is finding something to wear on the plane that’s both comfortable and more stylish than the broken-in sweats that you wear around home. Since I got a pair of Athleta’s Bettona Boyfriend pants, they’ve become part of my standard airplane wardrobe.

Made of Pilayo, a Supplex Nylon/Polyester/Lycra Spandex blend that is breathable and moisture wicking, the mid-weight pants are as soft as pajamas. They’re not shapeless like pajamas, however. The relaxed fit has a straight leg and mid-rise, and the fabric is comfortably stretchy.

The pant has jeans-style pockets with rivets, plus a side, snap pocket that’s big enough to fit a cell phone. The elastic waistband has a drawstring and belt loops, and the hem at the ankles has adjustable drawstrings. There are seven colors to choose from, each ideal to match a large part of your wardrobe.

I’ve worn these pants in more places than airplanes, and since they’re so comfortable, it would be a shame to relegate them to air travel only. They’ve been with me on hikes in Israel, winery tours in Napa and scouting for perfect surf in Mexico. They’re nice to have along on a trip when you’re not only looking for comfort, but also need versatility.

The Athleta Bettona Boyfriend Pant lists for $89 on the Athleta website. Available in regular, tall, petite and plus sizes.

We are in our 4th month of our family RTW trip. I am ALL about my Athleta pants – both the Boyfriend and the Regular Bettona pants are fantastic. They’ve been horseriding in Iceland, hiking Cinque Terre, and, out for dinner in a chi-chi restaurant in Paris. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Plus, they dry quickly after a sink wash. With only 4 pairs of pants for this year, my 2 Bettonas are my favorites!

Totally agree! These are exactly what I wore on my long flight to South Africa Earlier this year, but then they are stylish and cute to wear through the rest of your travels!
